Sailboat racing in the Bedford Basin is a safe, active, and challenging activity and Dartmouth Yacht Club’s racing program is designed to meet the needs of the modern sailor. Whether you skipper your own boat, crew with a team, single hand, or just want to get your kids out on the water, DYC offers a best-in-class racing program.

Competitive club racing, prestigious regattas, and a comprehensive junior program mean sailors of all ages can take part. Join us for the spectacular DYC Open, the gruelling Convoy Cup Ocean Race, or the family friendly pursuit style Beancrock Regatta. DYC sailboat racing embodies camaraderie, competition, and excitement on the water. Skippers are always looking for crew, if you want to get out and sail – meet you at the dock, and stick around at the clubhouse for camaraderie and libations. Guests welcome, and we have a crew membership available for regular sailors.
